It was just over a year ago when Mel Gibson hinted about the possibility of a fifth “Lethal Weapon” film on “Good Morning America.” Apparently, there’s been some movement. Gibson has now confirmed that not only is that fifth film a go, but he’ll be directing it. It was Richard Donner’s wish, as the director of the first four films, that Gibson take over the reigns should Donner “kick the bucket.” As of now, the screenplay is “being developed,” they’ve “gotten pretty far along with it.”
