CoJo, a multi-platinum country music performer who was born in Texas, has played at RodeoHouston five times, including in 2017–2019, 2022 and 2023. His song "Welcome to the Show" premiered in 2019 and was written and produced as RodeoHouston's official theme song.
Johnson's iconic performance on the star stage has made him a fan favorite since 2017. He attracted around 70,500 fans in 2022 and more than 73,000 for his 2023 performance. Johnson also surprised Rodeo attendees on March 6, 2024, when he appeared as a special guest while Jelly Roll performed.
