Kelsea Ballerini Celebrates Fourth No. 1 Song with 'Legends'

Kelsea Ballerini officially has another No. 1 song.

The country superstar celebrates her latest chart-toper with “Legends,” making her the first country female in more than a decade to land the debut singles from her first and second albums at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. Carrie Underwood last achieved the feat in 2007.

Kelsea took to Instagram to celebrate the accomplishment, borrowing the ballad’s lyrics to explain her sentiment.

“full of blood, sweat, and heartbeats. truly,” she wrote. “y’all- legends is the NUMBERONE song in country music. thank you // ‘we didn’t do it for the fame or the glory, but we went down in history.’”

Co-written by Kelsea, Forest Glen Whitehead and Hillary Lindsey, “Legends” becomes Kelsea’s fourth No. 1 behind “Peter Pan,” “Dibs” and “Love Me Like You Mean It.”

She celebrated the honor at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, and later with husband Morgan Evans by visiting a famed Nashville honkytonk, which is appropriately called Legends Corner.

Kelsea’s next single is called “I Hate Love Songs.”
