August 26, 2018 will be the first Kayak for a Cause benefiting the American Valor Foundation. The race will begin at 3pm from the McLane Stadium Lagoon boat slips and proceed towards Brazos Park East. The Waco River Safari boat will be anchored in the river and serve as the turnaround point back to McLane Stadium. The course is approximately 3.9 miles in length. There will be awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the single Kayak and Double Kayak divisions.
Entry fee is $20 per person with your own Kayak (includes event t-shirt) or $30 for those needing to rent a kayak. There is no charge for spectators!Registration can be made by visiting the McLane Stadium website
This event is open to all levels of paddlers. Go hard and fast or slow and smooth. Either way, we are celebrating the wonderful resource of the Brazos River and will have a great time! WE'LL SEE YOU THERE!
