Little Big Town has βbeen dying to share this news,β the beloved country quartet said on their social media channels as they unveiled 2023 tour dates, set to kick off this spring. The group is βbeyond excited to bring our βFriends of Mineβ tour to a city near you.β
Little Big Town will start the βFriends of Mine Tourβ on Thursday, April 13, at the BJCC Concert Hall in Birmingham, Alabama. The tour includes stops in Georgia, South Carolina, Oklahoma and other destinations before its finale on Sunday, July 16 at Grand Theater at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. Little Big Town will bring special guests along on the tour, though those guests were not announced as of publication time on Wednesday (January 25).
The βFriends of Mine Tourβ comes shortly after the group released their 10th studio album, Mr. Sun, in September 2022. The 16-track project is one that aims to capture βreality, love, and reuniting.β Some of the biggest songs in the collection include βAll Summer,β βBetter Love,β βHell Yeah,β βThree Whiskeys and the Truth,β βRich Manβ and others.
βAny time we make a record, we hope that when the fans hear it, they identify with parts of their own lives or their past experiences and can make the song their own and their own story, and this record is no different,β Kimberly Schlapman β who performs in Little Big Town with Jimi Westbrook,Β Karen Fairchild and Phillip SweetΒ βΒ said in a statement. βI hope and pray that when fans hear this, they go, βYes! Iβve been thereβ or βYes, I so badly want that,β or βYeah, I know Iβm not the only one whoβs been through that.β It just means everything to us when fans come up and say that song got me through this moment in my life or that song means everything to me or we had that song at my wedding. I mean, just any of those things means that all that work and time and everything we put into making a record, it means that itβs also someone elseβs story and itβs just the biggest compliment.β
