He posted the moment on Instagram and said, "Happy to be waking up the heroes in their space ship rounding up their amazing trip around the Moon!! Happy Landings guys!! You rock!!"
May has been closely following the voyage and re-posting on Instagram many of the photos taken from the astronauts aboard.
He writes, “Hello Commander Wiseman! Massively enjoying your exploits and the wonderful photos you are sending back to us... I know you guys are kinda busy, but I have an impertinent request. Could you take stereoscopic pictures for me -- for us 3-D enthusiasts? All you'd need to do is take two photos instead of one, separated by a few minutes if you're looking at the Earth or the moon, or maybe a few seconds if you're flying around the back side of the moon, close by.” In the meantime, May has been creating stereo photos from what NASA has been posting.
