Toby Keith Plans New Album, ‘The Bus Songs’

Toby Keith is rolling out a new album, and this one might be slightly NSFW. The Bus Songs is a 12-track collection of tunes “written too late at night. Maybe in the back of his bus with a glass of Wild Shot mezcal nearby,” according to a press release.

“Whether it’s adult situational humor, a bit of over-imbibing or seriously funny self-deprecation, Keith lets it all hang out on The Bus Songs,” the press release states. The record will include never-before-recorded songs such as “Brand New Bow” and “The Size I Wear,” along with newly recorded versions of “Runnin’ Block,” “Ballad of Balad,” “Hell No” and “The Critic.” Live versions of “Get Out of My Car” and the previously released “Weed With Willie” will also appear on the album, as well as Keith’s newest single, “Wacky Tobaccy,” featuring Nelson himself.

The Bus Songs is due out on Sept. 8; it will be available for pre-order on July 21. Fans who pre-order the album will receive “Wacky Tobaccy,” “S–tty Golfer,” “Runnin’ Block” and “Call a Marine” as instant gratification downloads.
