According to a new study, beer drinkers might be sabotaging their diets. Researchers at Tulane University found that people who only drink beer tend to have poorer diets compared to those who drink wine or liquor.
It seems beer lovers score lower on the Healthy Eating Index, especially when it comes to eating vegetables and fruit. On the other hand, those who drink wine or a mix of alcoholic beverages have healthier diets. One more side note from the study ...
The researchers also crunched the numbers and found that 39% of drinkers consume only beer, 22% only wine, 18% only liquor, and 21% a combination of alcohol types.
