Dog Returned To Owner After Being Stolen & Disguised

A Phoenix man is reunited with his service dog after the pup was stolen and the thief attempted to disguise the white dog with black dye. Anthony Graziani says his service dog Daisy isn’t just a service dog, she’s his best friend. So when a thief stole the three-year-old white Bull Terrier from his girlfriend when she fell asleep at a Fry’s Food Store, he was devastated.

Graziani posted about the theft on social media and contacted the microchip company, which sent out missing dog flyers in the hopes that someone had seen Daisy. Then Graziani saw a post online from a QT worker who’d found a dog that looked just like Daisy. He reached out to the worker and was told that the dog had been given to a coworker and then they stopped responding.

After filing a police report, Phoenix police, QT corporate and animal advocates helped get Daisy back and two weeks after she was stolen, Graziani was reunited with his best friend. Shockingly, he noticed that his pup, who used to be solid white, had some black markings and one ear that was solid black. The thieves had actually tried to disguise Daisy using black dye. Now that she’s back home, Graziani is not letting his friend out of his sight. “She’s going to be here with us for a while,” he says.
