Zack and Jim’s Waco 100 pet of the week is Tristan!
Tristan is a sweet, loving pup. He’s a playful romper who enjoys performing zoomies across the shelter’s playpen. Catch is this boy’s favorite game. He’s a lively fella who will fetch and return the ball as long as you’re willing to throw.
When he’s finished playing, he’ll happily park at your feet waiting for a good head scratch or belly rub. He’s super affectionate and wants to give as much as he gets. This half/lab adores doing a “labby lean” into those he loves. The other half of his breed is border collie, making him a pretty smart cookie, too!
Tristan is a fun guy, and he will fit perfectly into any family or he’d be a great companion for a single person. He’s cool with sharing his person’s time with canine siblings, meaning he gets along well with other dogs.
As wonderful as Tristan is, he is in a world of trouble. He is currently number 1 on the urgent list and the shelter’s longest resident; his arrival date was way back on 7/12/18. He needs an adopter or foster today to save his life.
Tristan is a male, lab/border collie mix. He’s 2 years old, weighs 49lbs, and he’s neutered so he can go home today! His adoption fee is sponsored, and he is free to adopt to an approved adopter.
Take a trip to the Humane Society of Central Texas and meet Tristan. Their hours are 11-6 weekdays and 11-5 on Saturday.
Can’t make it to the shelter this afternoon? Did you know that HSCT puts on adoption events every month? These events can occur anywhere in the city or county, usually on the weekends. Attend and you will meet many amazing dogs waiting for a home and dogs in foster care, available for onsite adoptions. Find their calendar of events on the HSCT website.
You can also check out the adoption trailer, which you may see in anywhere in the city. Count on it being filled with fantastic shelter dogs ready to go home with YOU!
