An Indiana community has pitched in to help a man who delivers pizzas with a smile.Tanner Langley,28, says Robert Peters has been delivering pies from the Pizza Hut in Tipton to his family since he was a kid. Peters has been working there for 31 years and he has lots of regular customers like Langley. People in town call him Mr. Smiley and when he was in need, they were happy to help.
The delivery driver recently shared with Langley that he was having trouble with his 28-year-old Oldsmobile so Langley started a GoFundMe to raise money to buy Peters a new set of wheels. In just a few days, donations blew past their goal of $12-thousand and reached more than $18-thousand. Langley used it to buy a 2017 Chevy Malibu and surprised Peters with it.
Along with the new car, they also covered the cost of the car’s registration, insurance and taxes, and gave him a $500 gas card, plus a “thank-you” tip from the community. “I just hope that all those who made this happen will be blessed as much as they have blessed me,” Peters said. “This has really been an awesome experience that I'll remember for the rest of my life.”
