A brave family cat has come to the rescue of children in Australia after they were threatened by a deadly snake.Arthurthe cat was outside playing with the children when it noticed that a deadly Eastern Brown snake made its way into the backyard and was headed for the kids.
Arthur protected the two young children from the reptile by standing between them and then attacking the snake before it went after the kids. Arthur managed to kill the Eastern Brown, but not before it hit him with a 'fatal envenomation snake bite'.
It wasn't until the next day that the family noticed Arthur had collapsed, which is a 'common symptom of snake bites, although not a well-known symptom amongst pet owners.' They rushed the cat to the vet and that's when the doctors delivered the heartbreaking news that Arthur had succumb to his injury. Doctors say that an Eastern Brown Snake is one of Australia's top 10 highly venomous snakes. Arthur is a hero.
