A statement from Rockstar games shows that “Grand Theft Auto 6” gameplay leak from over the weekend was not only legit, but serious business. On Twitter, Rockstar confirmed that there was an “intrusion” that gave a “third-party” illegal and unauthorized access to “confidential information from (their) systems.” There’ve also been reports that the hacker had stolen source code, and was “looking to negotiate a deal” to keep it private, which would also be called blackmail. While “GTA 6” isn’t expected to be released for years, Rockstar made a point of assuring players that they don’t anticipate any short- or long-term disruptions to their live-game services or development plans.
