There’s ‘lucky,’ there’s ‘really lucky,’ and then there’s a 70-year-old Delaware woman. The woman, who chose to remain anonymous, won $100k from two scratch-off tickets she bought in Newark earlier this month. She took them to the state lottery headquarters on October 20th to collect her winnings and decided to buy three more tickets on the way home.
When she scratched them off later in the day, she found that one of the “SERIOUS MONEY” tickets she had bought to celebrate was a $300k winner. She and a friend returned to the lottery office and cashed the second ticket in; says she plans to put the $400k away for her retirement.
