Super Nintendo World just celebrated their grand opening at Universal Studios Hollywood last week. And during the festivities, it was announced that another version of the park themed after the popular video games will be coming to Orlando.
Universal Parks & Resorts chairman and CEO Mark Woodbury shared the news, which fans already suspected, calling it, “The worst kept secret in history.” To be fair, it’s tough to hide theme park construction while building on a 750-acre tract in the middle of Orlando. And theme park lovers have eagerly been keeping tabs on its progress.
The Orlando location will be the third Super Nintendo World, with the first opening at Universal Studios Japan in 2021 and the first one in the U.S. opening in California last week. The one in Florida will be part of the upcoming Epic Universe park, which is expected to open in 2025.
