Texas 911 Operator Helps Strangers Save Man’s Life Outside A Lowe’s

During a trip to a home improvement store earlier this month, two Texas men became lifesavers, with the help of a 911 operator. The Keller Police Department in Texas is praising 911 operator Sarah Baxter and the two good Samaritans who worked together to save the life of a stranger in a Lowe’s parking lot.

A man only identified by his first name, Carter, called 911 and told operator Baxter that a man fell down and wasn’t breathing normally. She instructed Carter and another man identified as Braden on how to help the man, who police have identified as Daniel. According to the Keller PD, Braden performed CPR on Daniel until EMS arrived and took over.

"Carter's and Braden's initiative and quick actions to call 911 and perform CPR in an attempt to save another person's life played a vital role in Daniel's survival,” the department says in a news release. “Sarah's experience, calm demeanor, and EMD instructions played a vital role in Daniel's survival.”

  • This week, Daniel and his family met all three of his heroes at the Keller Police Department to thank them in person for saving his life.
