Animal Shelter Celebrates FIrst Time Being Empty In 47 Years: Last week, the Adams County SPCA in Pennsylvania celebrated a remarkable achievement when all of the shelter’s kennels were completely empty for the first time in 47 years. In what they describe as a “true miracle,” every animal in their care was either adopted or reunited with their owners. The shelter, which was nearly full just two weeks prior, managed to move 15-20 animals through adoptions or by returning strays to their owners. They attributed their success to the hard work of the staff and volunteers in caring for and processing the animals. The accomplishment has garnered the shelter national attention and led to offers of support and requests for assistance from other shelters.
